Sujet: TurnTable or a CDJ?

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

Hey guys I've been looking around the forums and couldn't find any topics on this. I'm looking to add to my set up of the RMX and was wondering what would be better to purchase to go along with the RMX? Mostly looking to be able to have a more sturdier platform when I do a scratch while I'm in the mix. Yes I know how much do I have to work with is one of the first things to think about but I'm thinking of going used at guitar center so if anything is wrong I can take it back.

Thanks in advance

get tables, there is no point getting cdj's anymore, as you could just get a mixtrack with vdj that can do more than a cdj...

for tables on a reasonable budget I'd get

American Audio Hd 4.5
numark TT500
numark TDX
stanton 120
stanton 150
vestax PDX 2000

they pretty much all have the same internals, all 4.5 kg torque, all up to 50% pitch, 33 45 72 rpm, all have adjustable tonearm height & needle tracking, some have pitch bend buttons, vestax has fine pitch, TDX has digital readout for pitch and a bpm counter. Stanton 150 is the best looking and has a preamp built in so no pesky gain wires to plug in :)

None of these decks compare to 1200's for mixing but kill it in scratching.. I have the AA hd 4.5's highly recommend them and there cheap

Thanks I'll keep my eye out for the AA 4.5 for a starter do you know if out of the box do they have a decent set of needle /cartridge. Witch I know nothing abbot them all a lot of videos I've seen people scratching on the shure m44's needles....

nah I got em used, without needles, quality needles are an aftermarket item so I bought 447's at the same time lol, you really can't go past them for scratching, and loud lows and mids with real vinyl, that said there are better options if your going to play real vinyl, but with a little less tracking

Thanks nope all I want it for is the timecode and to scratch. Nothing special.
