Sujet: Basic Midi Controller For VDJ?

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

I think it is about time for me to get a controller over using my mouse....

I was thinking something alone the line of the DAC2 or 3..

But as an underskilled computer guy, I was hoping for ideas from you all,,,, easy to use and wondering?? Thoughts?

I would recommend more along the lines of Hercules RMX or Mixtrack Pro. The RMX is a tremendous controller and highly recommended. Many here will say the same thing about the MixTrack Pro, but I like the RMX better (Just my opinion).

The DAC2 is pretty old technology now and the DAC3 was more designed with PCDJ in mind. I don't think you will be happy with either of those controllers.

Thanks,,,,, don't really wantsomething with a built in mixer... I have the DJM 5000 ... does that make sense?

Get the Denon HC4500. It would go nice with your mixer.

Numark NS7

If you already have Pioneer DJM-5000, the SEP-C1 controller is a perfect partner for it. Works great with VDJ.

If you have or want a rackmount setup, then the Denon DN-HC4500 is a good choice.

Thanks,, I am not a "beat mixer wiggy wiggy" kind of DJ,,, I was looking for something basic that I could replace my mouse with.... Love the ideas,,,,,

Chucky,
The Pioneer SEP-C1 would go right along with the DJM-5000. I also like the HC4500 of which I have 2 so they're both good options. I've also played with my old DAC-3 and it works ok, but I think you'll be happier with the Pioneer or HC4500.

I'm still running on my old DAC 2, you can find them still on Ebay for under £100. It does everything you need for cueing, playing and beatmatching tracks, plus unlike the majority of controllers out there, it has an LCD display! Why spend all that money on something like the Denon which will have an extra 101 buttons and knobs that by the sound of it, you'll probably never use. I modified the default mapper for mine to change the use of some of the buttons - for example it has 3 hotcues and some FX control as well. I like that it's only 2U in size as well - keeps the size of the rack case to a minimum....

I know a guy here on Maui who told me he had 2 DAC 2's for sale maybe,,, I was thinking of that.... I really am just a basic mixer guy...

Any Rack mount controller is just for basic mixing. Some controllers dont have a built in soundcard and others do have them. Dac 2 or 3 are old school and you need to buy a separate soundcard. Why bother with that when you can get just the Denon hc4500. Its a better deck from all the 19 inch rack mounts. Pioneer just looks nice and its not a good selling deck like the denon. Buy once and not get stuck with something you have to sell cheaper because nobody wants to buy it off of you.

def NS7 but if size is an issue then NS6

also look for www.akaipro.com/ good midi's there

I would say get that new Numark thing called idj2go I believe is the name of it or look up Geminis FirstMix. It doesn't get any more basic then those, lol!

Hope that helps
Huey

P.S. Can you tell me where you got those Minnie touch screens? I have a Mixdeck and I was thinking of building everything into the flight case and those little screens are just what I need. Thanks for the time and info!
