Sujet: Country Dj's Need some help..

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

OK I'm getting ready to start a new Bar/Club next Thursday and need some input on the hottest/most played country songs. I'm a Top 40 mainstream club dj kinda lost on the whole country scene, so any input would be great.

I was asked to play this spot for the following I have, but I'm not sure if I can pull this one off. This is a brand new place just opened last week.

I got some help on this same topic a few years back when another club ask me to do a country/pop night, can't remember who it was who posted their play list for me from their past weekend, but it would be great if I could get a new updated list, just for a guide line and insight into the current/past country dance tunes.

Thanks

her you go bro its where i get all my music playlist ideas = http://americasmusiccharts.com/

Anybody can look up the top 40 country chart but I am sure what might help the OP more would be a few can't miss songs that might have fallen off the charts but that would get people on the floor still. Some gems that would not show up on the charts but still get people moving. I am not a country DJ but living in KY there are plenty of bars that play country music.

Some personal favorites:

Here for the party - gretchen wilson
Save a horse - Big N Rich
Copperhead Road - Steve Earl - it has a dance everyone seems to know
Alcohol - Brad Paisley
Lotta Leavin Left to do - Dierks Bentley

I am sure those of you that actually do country places on a regular basis will have much better suggestions than this. :)

@jbart Thank you for the input, yes you are correct I have and done my homework but just as you said there are some that get lost and forgotten about..

and just like before - location, location, location...

will try to remember to save this past weeks playlists for you. and it's not gonna be much of a shock - country crowds are so tradition-bound that some of the same songs are gonna be on it. i swear they're afraid of new music unless it charts top 5 or is a George Strait tune, and even then they still might not want it if they can't dance to it.

anyway, will try to remember. wish there was a way to show an actual chart/graph of songs and popularity by location - both venue and geographical.

@ Wild thank you, that would be a great help and I do believe it was you that help me get threw this the last time I am thankful for your help.
