Not by what I saw, and the parties were awesome and star studded including Crystal Waters who won an award.

All you had to do was stay up.
Last night a surprise appearance by Q Bert was a highlight and there was too much talent to mention them all.
http://www.djqbert.com/
I can tell you that the artist's message of appreciation to us dj's was noticeable and with the labels present hopefully received.
DJ Joshua Carl absolutely killed it with dj eloy in a floor show that was stellar, it's like they were wired together.
Love to see them do one of the parties next year.
The Video Dj panel seminar was a host (Joshua Carl who you may know from Strictly Hits or the Serato forum) the best of the best remixers from Promo Only, Strictly Hits, Crooklyn Clan, and Corp endorsed dj's Dj Biggie who is the official Hercules Dj, Dj Unique from Pioneer, Dj Second Nature and yes Dj Roonie G "Mr Nutritious" as his place card said, from Denon.
This was an incredible gathering trust me, I was glad to be in the room with the best of the best.
The highlight of the event was the presence of Virtual Dj on the big screens at the House Of Blues screens and monitors.
Between live acts it we were entertained with premixed video sets by Dj Scotty B from Promo Only who had the Virtual Dj logo on his edits which brought us into view along with sponsors Denon, Chauvet and Promo Only's Pool subscriptions service which broke recently to provide audio and video weekly and monthly availability by download.
I tested this with them and the coverage and quality is spot on.
Offering intro outro edits now and download availability makes it too easy.
It was one of the most memorable shows I can remember and was glad to have more time to see it all.
The traffic was heavy I thought, I wish they had a scheduled demo from booths, a big problem that continues.
Well worth the trip once a year.
Hope those who went feel the same way.

Oh
And I forgot, Lil John made an appearance and checked out the show, and was introduced to VDJ by PO's ScottyB at the HOB back stage.
Now wouldn't that be something...

I agree. This was a great show... but !
Only one thing really bothered me. And that was at the Casbah when Pioneer disconnected a piece of the featured DJ/VJ's equipment and "threw it out" to the crowd.
The last "giveaway" was the uglyiest when after the end of his set, Second Nature (who was excellent) gave away a Pioneer CDJ 2000. The battle for it went down to the floor, and I swear I heard it hit the floor, and heard a moan from the guys around the wrestling match.
Credit goes to the staff of Casbah who kept the competiton from errupting into mayhem. Imagine 100 or so burly guys surging towards the stage with their arms out trying to grab this unit.
I hope Pioneer gets smarter next year if they decide to give away equipment. It would have been prudent to stick to the good 'ole business card pick.
That way other people would still have a chance instead of it turning into a "rugby" style event. Somebody could have gotten hurt. Girl DJs didn't have a chance. I stood off to the side. Those bass bins were kickin'.

I must say I had a great time and it was nice meeting everyone and chatting with so many VDJ users. The Promo Only party I was very dissapointed in. I hope to see everyone next year again and keep playing.

Caliente123 thanks for the picutres, was good seeing you again this year. In one of your shots I think its important to show the whole picture not just the Mixer in it so let me help you with that.

Sometimes its just best to let the pictures speak for themselves.

Videos are finally starting to trickle in.
The one I want to see is Joshua Carl with Dj eloy, which wasn't a battle but a telepathic blending session that went on and on as the crowd grew.
