Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

Hello Everyone!

I have just downloaded and begun playing with VirtualDJ Home Free Edition and I must say I LOVE IT!!!

But there is one thing that annoys me. I can't seem to figure out how to monitor my cueing without it mixing with the output during recording. The hing is that I only have on-board sound on my main board, and I don't want to have to invest in 2 new sound cards for main and headphone output... (I must disable on-board sound to install a sound card).

I'm trying to achieve simple headphoneless cueing so I can switch between cue output and main output.

Please help.

I am new to the PC based Deejaying. I come from 11 years of old-school spinning vinyl in clubs before the days of CD and beatmixing was done by ear and feel..... Ahhh... those were the great old days. ('79 - '90)

Thanks to all who reply...

The only thing you can do is use the split option in the sound setup.

It will send the master to one channel and the cue to the other - in other words a mono configuration.

I bought my son a Hercules controller without a sound card and had to set it up the same.

I then made up a lead that had a 3.5mm jack on one end (laptop/pc), then at the other I split it and put a pair of RCAs on one channel for the amp/speaker and a 1/4" socket on the other for the headphone input.

Cost about a fiver to make up the lead...

Hope this helps,

Roy

Thanks GadgetMan

I suppose that's my only option... I'll give it a go...
