Sujet: Midi Clock out.......... - Page: 1

Cette partie de ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes

I got my drum machine out lastnight and selected my soundcard (Audio 8) as to where to send the clock out. Then into my drum machine where it was set as a slave. Nothing happened. On the Audio 8 the led will flash when the signal is being sent out. The drum machine would sync up to my mixer (Ecler NUO4 sends out a clock) and I also got it to work with Traktor. Is there a set up guide to get this to work?? Or anyone have a video made. I have some nice patterns and would love to get this working........my drum machine is an Alesis SR-16.

Any info would be great

Oh and I'm on a PC..............if that makes a diifference..............

Anyone (Chris, CSTOLL)

we talked about this a while back Huey (scott was on it)...it not possible...they need too implement it imao....would be great....

Its already stated as implemented and is configurable via registry tool. Ive never used it myself though.

There's an option in the Registry Tool to send it out. I know there was a problem with Macs but I thought for sure it was some what working on a PC. I'm hoping Chris will chime in, he's the hardware expert or someone from the team.

Fingers crossed
Huey

Edit, didn't see your post Scott. I'm doin this from my phone, maybe you could give it a go in the near future, lol!

That's daft!

I never really understood why Atomix hide functionality like this away, instead of adding it to the software itself via the config tabs.

If MIDI clock out is possible, then give us a button or a tick box so we can all see it's there, and use it without having to download
an extra bit of software.

Oh, and put it in the manual too!

yeah...exactly!

I actually think more things should be locked out to encourage crackies to buy pro

I'm just gonna assume it still doesnt work yet. I tried all kinds of things, read all kinds of posts and its the same with other people. Well hopefully in a future release the team will have it working. So for now I'll just use my mixer which does the job but sucks cause I have to tap the beat in everytime. Small price to pay.

Sometimes, I think Automix is full of BS. I been trying to get it to work for months and no one has giving me an answer. No real response from support either. Quite frankly it pisses me off when they say it has been implemented but don't give one example of it actually working or any doc. Why did they even mention it in the first place? Argh!

Anyone seen it work? btw, I'm referring to clock out to an external device to be slaved via midi.

have you tried rewiring into your favorite DAW then using the DAW as a midi clock to your drum machine/sequencer? It might work for now

Hmm, never thought of that, lol! So I'll rewire with Reason and send the clock out through Reason.

Good thinking, I'll let you know how it works out
Huey

Well I forgot Reason 5 still doesnt have MIDI out so its a no go..............

Bah-Hum_Bug.......

That sucks bro, I havn't got anything that can recieve a midi signal otherwise I'd try it out for you, maybe tracker is your man, he has a mad scientist lab of equipment

we tried this allready..did'nt we huey? Scott or someone sayd that VDJ only sends a "stripped down version of midi time code in order to run the Lights for mixer controllers and visually see tempo.bunk really.....

Fred you changed your number, I just tried to call and some gangsta answered, Lmfao!!

I will send it to u...lol...

Huey! u woke me up!...he,he...so delirious i forgot to tell u something thats been in the back of my mind...wanted one these when they first came out but forgot about it...now we still can produce any beat on the various modules of Reason rewired to VDJ...but if u MUST midi to your OLd Skool DMX...then....find one of these (or similar)... RED SOUND's Beat extractor....you have to use Tap sync to narrow it down to the beat but can work
