In INT MIX mode, they shouldn't move as you move them, however due to a bug in Denon's firmware, they will initially set at start-up to where you have them on the controller. To avoid this, you will need to change the appropriate mappings to nothing as directed on the above page.

The default mapping is designed for 4 deck use with software-based mixer.

I e-mailed Denon regarding this bug and asking when they plan to fix it, and I have a repsonse from Denon Europe telling me they are unaware of this bug.

@ Teamer, would you like me to forward the e-mail to you so you can repsond? It may be better coming from VDJ.

Regards,

Gary

I don't think it's a Denon bug, more a limitation of VDJ.

This was discussed when the controller was released .... the default mapping is for users who want 4 deck mode with VDJ software as the mixer. In 2 deck external mixer mode there should be a completely separate mapping, however VDJ will only allow one mapping per controller to be in the native settings at the moment.

I suppose the MC6000 could send a different midi ID code depending on which mode it is in but I'm guessing that doesn't happen at present, not even sure if it's possible?

It's not a biggie, as explained just change a few mapping keys to "nothing" and the problem is solved.

If you want, I can send you my custom mapping which is quite a bit different to the default but perfect for 2 deck operation.

1st night went really well. I was a bit apprehensive about pushing too many buttons, but I think that's normal as I'm used to timecodes and a mouse.

The Denon worked pretty much out the box. Plugged into the venue's system and everything worked fine.

Keith, I'd love to try your mapper please :)

I'm on vacation just now but will send it when I get back next weekend. Send me a PM with your email address please.

I have a Denon MC-6000 and a Numark NS6. They both have 2 mic inputs with 3 band eq and gain.

Thanks for that John. I purchased mine a couple of days ago. Very happy with it so far.
