Is the Numark N4 an upgraded Mixtrack Pro?
Is it a (for lack of a better word) downgraded NS6?
Is it a completely new animal all together?
What is it really?!?

I would say, think of it as a 4 deck Mixtrack Pro with a few handy downs from the NS6 (to me the layout looks similar).Seems decent enough.
Just my opinion

I ask because I had a Mixtrack Pro and was not very impressed. I was not impressed at all with the sound, nor was I impressed with the build quality. I was not a big fan of the platters either. Not that any of those things were "bad" (the sound was bad though), but none of those things were stellar.
The NS7 and NS6 are stellar.
If the N4 is closer to the N6 than it is to the Mixtrack Pro, then for me it may be worth a go.
What is the build quality like? What are the platters like in compassion to the NS6 and the Mixtrack Pro? Are they more like the Mixtrack or more like the NS6?

Judging from pictures I've seen the jogs look just like the same hard plastic that's used on the Mixtracks and Mixdeck. As far as the resolution of the jogs I don't know. I think they had one at the VDJ booth at that bpm show overseas but no one is really saying much......

yeah i had a mixtrack pro as well. i hated the delay, and the sound quality is ok. the controls are great. i keep wondering why they called it pro in the first place.
