Hey guys, my old numark TT-100's are jumping +/- 1bpm randomly, and its hard to keep songs sync'ed up.
Any suggestions or ideas?
Note: I like using my TT's to control my music, like the more "mechanical" feel of things other than a jog wheel that does not spin around.
I don't really need my TT's, but i like to have them.
Ideas tips & suggestions are all welcome.

use a couple of real vinyl tracks and see if it's the motors... if it is get better tables, cause those are really weak... if not make sure the tables are grounded to your mixer, and all rca's are secure, could also be your needles need replacing, but anything that distorts the timecode vinyl signal will affect the transport or a song

In the debug window, make sure that "disable clearsound" is checked. See if that makes a difference aswell. But yeah you really should get better tables, ebay is your friend......

yeah, i know they are crappy tables, but I got them cheap and I really only have them because people like to see them as opposed to a little controller, (sounds crazy, but i think you look a bit more professional with TT')
I'll mess around with some settings and see what i can do.

people can go eat their own hat if they expect to see TT's these days at a mobile gig..... no way would i hump my TT's around when i can throw my midi controllers, laptop, cdj and mixer in a bag and head off anywhere...

I doubt your problem is to do with your turntables.
This has been a problem with virtual dj since the release of virtual dj 6 (and same problem in 7)
I had the same problem with the pitch slider moving up and down 1% all the time which use to put songs out of sync.
Then i wasted a hell of alot of money buying new turntables, needles sound cards etc which included numark tt500, kam ddx 5000 and technics 1210 turntables which all produced the same problem with the pitch slider moving up and down.
All the above equipment worked fine with virtual dj 5.2.1 so what ever changed in newer versions changed for the worse.
I have since changed software now as i find others much better for timecode, but the last time i loaded the latest version of virtual dj to see if anything was improved i noticed a couple of settings had changed in the timecode config. After playing with it for a while i did manage to get it better so that the pitch movement wasnt as often as before but it was still there.
Maybe with a bit of tweaking you maybe able to get it working but good look with that

Bro give it up already, we all know you couldn't get it to work and you have moved on.....so move on and be happy. If you can't help with anything positive please refrain.
I can prove that it doesn't float, drift whatever you wanna call it. I don't care what anyone says, I have opened for Ben Harper, Cee -Lo Green and soon to be Sublime using VDJ with timecodes and shit was rock solid!! There would be no way in hell I'd use it for events like that if i wasn't 100% in it working and being stable, I may come across as a dumbass but believe me I'm not!! Sure VDJ isn't as easy to setup as the others but when its dailed in shit is rock solid!! I been using VDJ with timecodes for 5 frickin years now and never have I ever had a crash in a live setting and I put that on my 5 kids! Now has it always been great, no. But since the release of 7 I am happy. Now I'm no Qbert or Rafix but I can hold my own when it comes to the tables. I haven't posted any videos yet but I can assure you there coming! I was gonna have DJ Mahf stunt on my setup but since the Cards won the series he couldn't make our show (Google him, he's dope). Now here's a link to my setting, http://www.virtualdj.com/forums/146709/General_Discussion/Perfect_Timecodes__.html
Flip to the 3rd page for pictures of all my settings and the timecodes I use.... sure everybody's setup is different but I believe I give you a pretty good base to start with and as always if you have any questions or need help I'm always here and ready to help.
Respect
Huey
P.S. I read over on the Serato forums that a user was having the same problem. Guess what, they told him that its normal to have to ride the pitch........ http://serato.com/forum/discussion/550069#new
