I am attempting to connect a Hercules console Rmx controller to a Mackie 1402-VLZ Pro mixing board. I want to use the Mackie mixing board for multiple mics (for karaoke, or for a wired mic and wireless system for private parties and weddings. I, also, have XLR cables for these mics and the Hercules has 1/4" connections).
Apparently, I have not connected the controller correctly because I am able to crossfade, start and stop each deck, sync, etc, but the volume controls do not change the music volume on the Hercules controller. The volume is controlled through the Mackie mixing board. I want to control the deck volumes with the controller. I am using a laptop for a music source. My speakers are connected to my amp, and the Mackie mixing board is connected to the amp. The controller is connected to the Mackie mixing board, and the laptop is connected to the controller. Does anyone know all of the cable connections between the laptop, controller and Mackie mixing board so that I can control the music volume through the Hercules console Rmx controller but use the Mackie mixing board for my mics? I am using Virtual DJ Pro 7 edition. Thank you :)

If you are using the 1/4" outputs you should be running your outputs from the RMX's channels 1 & 2 into the inputs of the Mackie mixer's channel 7-8, 9-10, 11-12 or 13-14 depending on what you choose (any of those channels will work as 1 through 6 are reserved for the microphones).
