I'm interested in creating a plug-in that, like Sonique, would play during audio-only. The difference is that I want ti to be a series of trivia items. I'm not tekkie literate... just some basic knowledge. How can this be done?
Thanks,
Jay

You need to know:
C++
DirectX for a windows plugin
OpenGL for a OSX plugin
Creating it in flash might be easier for a non-techie then using something like Essential Media or Firetext to play it.

To show some trivia items though, you could just use the "SBDJ slideshow" plugin. It is designed for showing photos in a slideshow, but if you just made some questions in powerpoint and saved them as jpg files that'd work pretty well I guess?

I'll give that a shot.. good suggestion.

No worries, both the SBDJ slideshow and the original slideshow plugins allow you to choose how long to display each picture for and you just need to save the files with names that are in number/alphabetical order.

Hi,
I absolutely new to VJD and am evaluating its functionality before purchasing the pro version. Can you tell me if the SBDJ Slideshow plugin allows you to manually control the advancing of slides. I want to use the feature for a quiz so I don't have to switch to Powerpoint. I can save the PPT slides as jpgs, but I then need to be able to advance the slides on command. Thanks

You can use the Firetext free plugin it has those features you are requesting, in image tab set timer to zero, use the next button as a pause/start function.
