at mobile gigs i just come around back of the table, try not to yank out any of the taped down wires....

I usually walk to the bar for a "Full-Bodied Canadian Beer" something along the lines of a Sleeman's Honey Brown Lager;
Then make my way to the DJ booth making sure to notice the girls - hopefully without them noticing where I'm looking.
