Sujet: Hercules RMX or Mixtrack Pro?

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

Hi guys, I'm a beginner DJ and after doing some researches these two are ones that is affordable to me, but I couldn't decided which one is "better".

I noticed that the RMX has some metal casing, means it wouldn't break easily, while the Mixtrack Pro is just pure plastic (based on the reviews).

So what do you guys think? Friends suggesting me to get the Mixtrack Pro due to it's soundcard, and newer than the RMX.

I'm going for trance/house/electro kind of music.

Or is there any other consoles to consider? Please give some help! Thanks!

RMX, you can expand on it later on with Turntables and/or CD players... im not sure you have those options on the mixtrack pro, but i might be wrong...

You are correct Rmx does have steel casing and the mixtrack pro is plastic. I would go with the Mixtrack pro myself but again that is just me. I owned the mixtrack for a while and loved as I also play house trance etc and worked great for me. But again I would say go out and see if you can test them out first and see which one you feel more comfortable with.

if you purchase the RMX, you'll get a great discount on buying VDJ Pro, so it's worth it.

I've had the RMX for 3 years now, still is rock solid

What I like about the Mixtrack Pro is the fact that it has actual knobs for using when applying effects, like flanger, auto cut etc. You can twist and turn the knobs to modify the effects. The RMX and the DJ 4Set don't have enough knobs IMO but can still get the job done in other ways.

I own the Mixtrack Pro and personally love it.. Its got nice size jog wheels, effect button and effect knobs. I got a discount on VDJ with the mixtrack pro but it may not still be availabe idk. The fact that you can expand on the RMX is nice but I think you will really want to expand on it as it lacks some features. With either as you get more advanced you will probably want to upgrade to a nicer overall controller where you can then purchase an expandable controller (meaning internal mixer so you can timecode vinyls, hook up cdj's, line ins) Im not sure if the RMX has a mic input but the mixtrack does which is a big plus. Hope some of these thoughts help. Neither are a bad choice just up to you on your needs and desires

I wouldnt go with either, I\'d go with the

Numark N4,

It's not made out of steel like the RMX but you can hook up turntables like the RMX, it has touch sensitive jogs unlike the RMX, 4 deck controller, and plenty of knobs and buttons.

I owned a hercules Rmx and i Dj yed a few times with my friends Mixtrack pro. I dont like neither. They are cheap and its something you will want to sell after a short while because you would want something better. The Numark N4 is a better deck.
