Have you considered that tracks skipping and popping may be down to issues with the sound card or with too much stuff running in the background?

I mean, playing a couple of MP3s shouldn't strain any computer these days, even an old one.

When DJ software first appeared, computers were FAR less powerful than they are now, and they managed back then.

Post the spec of the computer. Run the DPC latency checker and see how it performs. Save yourself some money!!!

If you do decide to buy a new lappy go with Asus. I've had mine for a while and its a beast.

download and run GameBooster it's free and turns off background processes which are what's causing your problem

if you get a new laptop it may very well skip also , but it will look new and spiffy when it does it

also there's a thing called a desktop

Even if it is only for the use of audio, I recommend that you disable the antivirus in full session, as well as wifi and also the aero effect in case your computer has windows 7, a greeting

As indicated, the software GameBoost is good, cut all running processes and lets his work VDJ maximum performance

If you are buying a laptop for only audio, you " Dont " need to buy a expensive laptop. The HP Pavilion g6-1c57dx is more than enough.
