I have searched the threads and i am still not clear on how to do this or wither it can be done at all
Simple question: Can i record a video mix internally unto my hard drive with VDJ 7? I am using windows.
What codec actually works? What resolution should i be using?
Please make the answer simple enough to understand.
Thanks

Well............I asked some of my friends here, and it was not a simple solution, so I went to an easier approach. I got a DVD recorder from Walmart for $50.00 (recertified, new but someone returned it). I know they are working on making this easier, but I took the quick way out.

Agreed, it just better all the way around. No added stress to your system and its pretty easy to hook up but its one more piece of equipment to haul around.

gbadegesin,
I can record video to my local harddrive but only when in "window" mode, not when output is to another monitor or projector.
I use the Divx codec, purchased for 20$. It is .avi format and works nicely if you need to record a demo for upload or to share with potential client.

DJ Sweet,
Been to your website and FB and seen your videos ( quite well done if i may say so) and it is exactly what i am after.
I know it can be done cos i saw you mention it to someone on FB in the past.
Like you , i have the NMPro and similarly, it is for a presentation for some clients.
I will hook you up to ask a few more questions if it's not a bother

Here is a more recent longer 30 min video mix recorded in 1080 with fraps and then downgraded for internet streaming...
