Im having a problem with live guitar recording, and I've tryed about everything I could think of. What I am doing is i'm using my numark mixdeck to help me record. Im coming out the record channel on the numark mixdeck and into my computer on the intergrated microphone line. When I use Audacity to record the guitar it doesn't sound right at all, maybe to much mid? I have tryed everything and it just wont sound right. My microphone is going into my mixdeck. Any Solutions?

The outputsignal of the Numark is way too loud for a mic-in. Try the line-in on your PC.

If you don't have a line in, go to your pc's mixer settings and turn the volume down, also make sure the mic amplifier (boost) is not tuned on (advanced settings i think). The signal may still be to hot, you may need to get an external sound card.

Ok I went to change the lines and I see numark mixdeck line in? Can i record back into my computer using that

Nope. The Numark Line-in is an input to connect any other audio-device like a CD-player. If you want to record you need to record from your master input. In this case it would be your line-in on your internal audio device (or the mic if you followed blckjck's advice)
