I knew Stanton would come up with something better, this controller looks somewhat promising...

That fader FX section on the Stanton controller looks kind of interesting ;) or how about the beatmasher mode in the Reloop controller. Looks like Atomix is really out to do some damage with the next VDJ. Keep up the good work guys!

****Beware this promo video may cause excessive vomiting!****

"they must have the same publicist as pioneer for the ergo..."

What I got from the video though is that beatmasher mode is a gate, that's all... hopefully one of the atomix guys can confirm (hopefully deny). But the beatmasher needs a roll, if that is built in, in newer versions that is great but honestly a gate doesn't cut the mustard in my books...

this looks familiar... looks like stanton are still up to their old tricks, hopefully they paid for premium parts from the manufacturer... But this having blue leds which cost more would be a better buy as the staton one looks a little stripped back in comparison, although the price of this is $566.50US from taobaoshoppingagent

Found it's little brother the C50 $416.50US same website

Looks like decent mic inputs (with EQ) are lacking again on both these....

When will designers of these things realise that they could sell so many more
to mobile DJs if they bothered to fit some useful mic channels?

HAHA, that's the same thing I thought when I first seen the video. They have been drinking some Pioneer PR Cool-Aid.

I thought I recognized those jog wheels! They are like the ones on the American Audio Versadeck. It looks like both units come from the same OEM manufacture.

I'm willing to let Stanton slide on this OEM import, this is a normal looking controller that they can sell to your average/newbie DJ. This OEM controller does seem to have some good high end features that will appeal to some more established DJs but with a nice simple layout and price that would attract the newbies also.

I don't think Stanton have had much success with their SCS digital DJ line of products. I think the SCS line itself was a great concept but the bundle software choice just didn't seem to work well for Stanton's hardware with all the middle-ware and drivers that were involved just to make it all work together. When it comes to Digital DJ'ing Stanton has done a lot of innovation and R&D....maybe some of the stuff was a little too futuristic for the average user to grasp but you got to respect the fact that they are willing to think outside the box.

2012 is surely going to be the year of VDJ. New software and new controllers. It'll be interesting to see if Serato or Traktor can catch up, but I'm guessing they will remain in their little worlds of hating on VDJ. :P

Well Traktor has got the 'remix decks' forthcoming, so I just hope that the new sampler section in VDJ 8 will be comparable (or hopefully better).

It said in the DDJT article that if you play a sample in a group it stops the one playing in the group "or something along those lines", so it'll be exactly the same, except you can edit the samples in a popout window which looks very useful ;-)

you also have the Reloop Terminal Mix 4 Its for Serato & Virtual DJ

Those knobs and joggs look like their made of aluminium, maybe not but it's a step in the right direction if so.

I'm getting sick of all this plastic it's like going out with fisher price equipment.

Rant over

Vestax Has a a new one also. VCI 380

To be honest if you've got one controller nowadays you've got them all.

Your right about that. Most of them look similar.

I still haven't seen a All-in-one Controller that can hold my interest long enough to switch from my DMC2 & DAC2 controllers will a real mixer.

But I guess there's hope

As far as controllers go, I like the concept behind the Stanton controller, in which you don't need a computer, but it can also be connected to your lap top and spin with Virtual Dj. I would love to see Reloop, or even Pioneer come up with something similar, but at an affordable price such as the Stanton, which I'm hoping to buy as soon as I get my Gemini CDJ700's.

It seems like the future of DJ-ing is heading into the controller era, but I wold love to have a solid controller that would offer something similar to the ones being presented here, but also to be able to just plug your thumb-drive directly to it, and just go from there.

Looks like my 16 months old Reloop digital jockey 2 IE is always up to date..looks similar with many newer ones...since it serves me well with some mapping work...no need to look up for a New one.....

the jockey 2's buttons are horrible after a while, my play button is realy tempramental now, I am going to look to upgrade soon to the VCI-400 cause the thing's built like a brick and there is more than enough controls to never run out of things to do with them.
