Sujet: What mix techniques do you use?

Just wondering what you kids are doing to keep those mix's flowing!!??

if only i was still a kid and i know how to mix then i would be very awesome now.
 
Just the basics.

Beatmatching
Counting bars


I am a club DJ and not a battle DJ. So as far as I am concerned, proper music selection, reading the crowd, and keeping the flow by using the basics is more important that flash.
 
 
When i am on the mix, I play some songs seconds later or maybe a minute into the song. I like to scratch, Cut, Drop samples, quick blends, etc.
 
I mostly play tracks in reverse and use heaps of effects

Well basically asking my mum to keep buying me orange juice, grenadine and rootbeer!

you should try it bro, It's a really creative way to mix, And my workflow is great now, I also like to play songs 20bpm faster than normal, and pitch the tracks up so it hits the extra high notes. Im thinking of growing my hair like jesus now.

Also, no joke, I heard this DJ mixing reggaeton, and every 20 seconds or less he would sound the BigTruck horn. It was an amateur online radio, and I was in the chat, and as soon as I brought it up, the guy who was playing that mix noticed it too, and he ended up removing the mix, lol
