I constantly scan, reload tags, everything, but I can not get VDJ to display the length of the songs unless it has been previously loaded in that session. Time plays a big role as a DJ as some songs are just too short or too long etc. It would just be nice to display all the fields.

Maybe a stupid question ;-) but have you done the BPM Scan to all tracks?
Please try this:
1) Select on the left browser area your harddrives/volumes
2) Do a rightclick and select ADD TO SERACH DB (each harddrive/volume)
3) Create a Filter Folder with:
Name: Unscanned tracks
Filter: isscanned=0
4) Click on that filter
5) Select the hole tracks in the middle browser area and select after another rightclick BOM SCAN
After that, all the TAG informations should be displayed fine.
