I'm new to this, and I'm using the Free Home version - love the software.
I'm looking to DJ a "show" which would be for new bands' material.
For this I need to use a microphone input between tracks.
Initially I just want to do this for fun practice, and then maybe record the "show" for friends (they are in the various bands).
I'm not thinking of broadcasting online (well, maybe if I really really loved it, but that would be years away!).
With this in mind, which version of the software would suit me best in the medium term - to record for friends?
The free version comes with a 10 minute trial of using a mic, which also allows an AUX input for either deck. The full-time version of that would seem to be fine for my needs. The mic would be the single 3.5mm input on a normal laptop.

I would go Pro full as you get the advanced sound configuration use controllers and get free upgrades, plus if you want to broadcast in the future you can.
Saying that though, if if you buy a controller that comes with VDJ LE first you can upgrade to PRO FULL at a discounted price. :-)
