Sujet: Speaker and Headphones are choppy

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

I am just starting to DJ however I can't seem to get my headphone and speakers to work properly with out having them coming out choppy. I have installed Virtual DJ Pro along with Numark Dj iO. I also plugged in the rca cables to dj io and my headphone. However when I start to play a track it comes out choppy on both ends.

Someone help me with this please.

Are you using a lousy RCA cable? I believe if the dj io has no problem, then it's the problem with the cable or your headphone plug.

I just bought the cables and the headphones. This was also happening with the speakers I previously had and headphones and I thought it was those problems so I had them replaced. Same thing.

then i believe is the problem with the soundcard, check with your manufacturer? is your dj io ware up to date?

The interface that I bought is this one : http://www.skratchworx.com/newspage.php4?p=archive&fn_mode=comments&fn_id=1758

I re-installed it from Numark's website because the CD provided gave me an "error" upon almost completing. So I looked it up online and downloaded the software through their site which installed it all the day and required for my laptop to restart.

Could it be that my laptop is too slow? I have an HP Pavilion 2000.

So that would fix my problem by downloading VDJ Home?

Depends where you got the Pro version from. If it is legitimate please register your serial on this site and download the latest version. Otherways download the home free version here: http://www.virtualdj.com/products/homefree.html

Your PC may still need to be optimised to get rid of the skipping etc.

VirtualDJ Home FREE does not support using multi-channel external sound cards such as Numark DJIO.

To use this card, you will need to purchase the either VirtualDJ Basic or the full Professional (Pro is required if you also need to use MIDI controllers, full-screen video, etc.): http://www.virtualdj.com/products/comparison.html

If you like VirtualDJ, please support the software and its future development by purchasing it, or register your Pro serial number to your profile page if you have already purchased: http://www.virtualdj.com/users/edit.html

As above, if you are getting stuttering, popping, etc. then you have performance issues with your computer. Please see the above page for common causes and their solutions: http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/Common%20PC%20Performance%20Issues.html
