Sujet: Pioneer cdj 400's or Numark NS6

Hi guy's I'm currently using the Hercules RMX and have found it to be really good and easy to learn on but I'm looking at possibly upgrading soon. I've been looking at some secondhand CDJ 400's as they are midi also ( I know it may take time to learn them after the rmx ) or for around the same price a new Numark NS6.
I quite like the idea of the cdj's, and they will be could to use as back up just incase the laptop dies but the NS6 looks amazing and the possibilities almost endless.

What do you guy's think - any pro's con's you can think of?

I have a NS6 deck and its really good. Its not big or small, Just the right size and its light. One usb plug connects everything Vs having two pioneer cdj 400's separate and then you need a mixer.
 
I second the NS6, the thing is just loaded with features and very portable. I would also recommend the Odyssey case for it without the glide shelf. I've have too many people come up and lean on the shelf and damn near tip the thing. Case and a nice premium laptop stand and you'll be loving VDJ all over again!
 
Choose the NS6, the mixer could be a stand alone mixer. nuff said
 
Sounds like it's the NS6 then. Does it work well with VDJ, any problems that you guy's know of?

Of course it works with VDJ. I use the NS6 + VDJ (video) at all my weekly gigs. As long as your pc meet/exceeds the requirements then you should be good to go.
 
NS6 + Mac... Perfect combination for me!
 
Thanks for the input guy's. Good point about the oddysey case too, I'll look into them.
 
Well, I went to the Rockshop today to have a look at some controllers and I must say I am now the proud owner of the Numark NS6.
I was suprised that all I had to do was download the NS6 driver, plug it in and everything worked in VDJ, no fuss, no stress, Love it!!!
