Sujet: Going back to turntables and have a few questions

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

Really missing the feel of turntables so today I ordered a set. I do have a few questions regarding set up though, any help is appreciated.

I have an old Native Instrument Audio 4 sound card. Will this work with VDJ? Or will I have to get a different sound card?

In the product section looks like the Hercules DJ Trim is recommended, are there any other inexpensive option if the Audio will not work?

I also have a Serato SL1 box, will that work as well with VDJ? I seem to recall seeing somewhere that it does.....

And along the lines of the previous question, Serato or Traktor control vinyls, which works best?

Lastly, I have an NS6, is there a way to use its internal sound card if I plug my TT's into it? Maybe use the TT's as my 3rd and 4th deck?

Yes your Audio4 and your SL1 1ill work with VDJ, no need to buy another sound card. You must just go into sound set up and select either your audio 4 or SL1 as your sound card. The NS6 does not have the ability to run time code.

As far as control records, I have used Serato records and they work. VDJ recommends Serato records also, I have not tried Traktor control records.
Some people claim there's drift problems when using time codes with VDJ but that if you use VDJs own control records or numark's (SAME as VDJ) the problem can be corrected. http://www.pssl.com/Numark-TSNI00-3-Time-Coded-Vinyl-Single-Pack

Thanks for the responding and the info MAGAGAR80.
