I have a Coby 15" hdmi flatscreen TV that I use for karaoke and i'm looking for a portable stand. Preferably something adjustable, and tiltable.

Any ideas?

Nah, you don't need all of that pricy stuff for karaoke, just get one of these and mount it on a pole, maybe bolt or strap a short pole (SubPole) to your gear box or even a speaker pole... http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/763990-REG/Vitek_VT_LCD_PMT_LCD_Monitor_Swivel_Pole.html

Pole http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/400166-REG/On_Stage_SS7740_SS7740_42_Subwoofer_Speaker_Attachment.html

35 Lbs Swivel bracket $35.00

Sub Poie $10.00= $45.00

Good Luck,

Joey...

PERFECT!!!!

I have so many speaker stands, mic stands and light stands that this clamp is the perfect answer. I will order it, paint it black and keep it moving.

Thanks Joey and thanks coast. I saw the other stand on their site but it's still too expensive and not mobile enough for my purposes.

Hi

The black one is not the right one so i'm gonna buy the black one.

You have been a great help Joey...

Thank you!

Use a music stand. Drill holes to mount the monitor using the VESA mounts. Works great and costs on 30$. Attach mic clips if desired. Bags can be had at any music store.

BUMP...

I needed this thread up front because it has info I need.

Sorry VDJ forum staff.

Not that this is much help to you but I took my old tube TV karaoke monitor mount that I used in the 90s. I un-welded the swivel, turned the tray vertically (away from the original horizontal orientation designed to set a fat CRT monitor/TV on), cut away excessive metal to weld on a flat panel screen mount to the removed swivel so that it could hold a new flat panel LED/LCD. The side bars that used to help keep an old CRT from sliding off now act as a guard to protect the front of the new LCD. I used the same pole mount that attaches to the swivel and screen mount but replaced the wobbly old flat metal (5) legs with small weak castors with an office chair (5) legs with castors to keep it stable and mobile. The drink holder is original too. I then repainted it with a "hammered metal look" dark grey paint to make it totally look like it was designed in this millennium!

The screen shown is a brand new 2012 Samsung 24" LED Flat Panel LCD TV/Monitor with HDMI, DVI, VGA, S Video, composite, component, optical input and speaker ins/outs. (It's not a computer monitor, it's a combo computer monitor and a 1080p television tuner) I designed it to be used for many different uses at home and for business. Here I'm using it in my office/studio to watch TV and practice video mixing.

BTW: I bring this little monitor to EVERY gig. At each gig I mix videos rather than just play music. It helps me attract future business from interested potential clients who see the small screen and ask if I can do it on larger screens! I say "of course!" It's great too for garnering new business and up-selling my multiple plasma, large LCD/LED and multiple 7' and 10' Global Truss DJ Screens for an all out video mixing assault or karaoke party...
