Entry level controller with Serato Intro.

Doesn't seem to bring anything new to the party!

They're going down the toy route now!

Trying to follow Pioneer into the "consumer DJ" market?

There are too many of these things already available - bring us something that's not been done before!

Pioneer are heading that way with the Aero - OK it's expensive but at least it does something unique.

MEH.... It's made worse by having a dj with no rhythm trying to scratch, and everyone seems to be hiring the same marketing team as the ergo who keep reproducing the same video everytime.

It's just another alternative to the mixtrack........ for 50 bucks more. Plus this might be built a little better and fit in a normal backpack....
I'll give it a try when it comes out, anybody know when that is??

No release date mentioned yet. Guess it won't be natively mapped with VDJ though since it's a Serato sponsored product.

Should be easy enough to map by dissecting the MC-6000 & MC-3000 scripts though.

That's exactly the 1st thing I thought when I seen it. Obviously the mixtrack has been a success but it's cheap quality build left a lot to be desired. If Denon can bring it's quality around the same price point, it's going to own the Mixtrack.

While it obviously isn't geared to the pro market, I think it is actually quite smart of Denon to round out their controller catalogue with a basic entry level product. Get them when they start and build brand loyalty. As others have said, a Mixtrack with Denon quality could make a big impact.

WHAT....NO "RECORD" BUTTON!!!!! lol

It also makes out to be a nice little backup or small second system.

I hate it, I really do.

I hope there's something to look forward to at the BPM show this year!

I was hoping for an upgrade to the MC6000.

Let's have a 10u at least version with large browser control at the front.

I'm with you. Without revealing too much, I was able to put in a request for, track readout, push to kill eq buttons, and USB ports (for my USB flexible lights, and/or media sticks). I asked for the readout to be on top. I did not ask for browser control. Whether it will happen or not, I don't know, but it was heard. As cstoll stated, do not assume anything when it comes to VDJ. Atomix is a very big player in this business.

a useless machine,

it is only 60 (currency recalculated) dollar cheaper than the mc3000 here in the netherlands. so why bother making this thing.
it can't be because people like serato over vdj

I honestly think it must have been one of a few prototype's, and they chose the 3000 then thought I know we'll do the other one too and call it a 2000.

how do i get a copy of the virtual dj disk that came with the denon mc2000
