Sujet: ESI Gigaport without warning stops outputting sound!

Been running an ESI Gigaport for a long time now, on three different machines..in the last week the same problem has occurred on two of the machines...without warning the sound output stops! The green LED lights inside the soundcard go off, VDJ still appears to be running but i can only get sound back from the Gigaport once ive rebooted! This has got me in a sticky situation, both times when doing karaoke! Was wandering if anybody else had had this happen?! Someone told me that it could be something to do with power surges, i.e. when you trigger your smoke machine, change the fan speed on the DJ box cooling fan etc.

Baffled!
