Hi folks, any advice on this would be really appreciated.
my set up is Mac Book Pro running osx 10.7.4
2.2ghz intel core duo, 4 gig of memory.
Current up to date version of Virtual DJ pro, soundcard is M-audio fast track.
and firewire to a WD mybook PRO (500gb)
over the last month, i have been getting random freezes, i will go to click on a track, or hit play and suddenly get the spinning ball.
the track always plays to the end, but no matter what i do, program is unresponsive and i can't get it to close properly or re-open (once force close) i have to restart everything etc.
in a 5 hr set, its only happening once or twice.
any ideas at all what i can do to solve this. i have been using the hard drive for about 4 years without this happening (running very hot) is it time to retire the drive?
I am leaning towards it being a problem with the hard drive, but don't really know. i am also using a different power supply to the hard drive than the original (purchased of amazon) but have been using it for a while now.
