The problem is not VDJ. The problem is with the operating system. All OS like to have a bit of breathing space on hard drives.

yes mate but im just wondering how much is required to be kept free for breathing space?

16 GB available hard disk space (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit) .....keep in mind that these are the baseline system requirements and u should probably overshoot them by a few GBs.......BTW, these are the specs to run Win. 7.....You will need to google your PC make and model to determine if its 32 or 64 bit. Or go to Control Panel - System and Security - System and the current PC specs will appear there.

At least 1.5 gigabytes (GB) of available space on the hard disk......These are the baseline specs to run Win. XP

BTW, I think you get much better performance keeping the OS on its own drive by itself rather than combining the OS and your music all onto one disk. I keep my music on external HD's and the OS running on the C drive along with various other odds and ends....Just something to think about when u upgrade. Hope this helped..... =D

cheers for the information mate.i run xp so im clear for now.
