For my small weddings I have always used the mono separated set up...I got a new computer with windows 8 and upgrated my vdj to 7.3...I can't get the signal to separate. It comes out like the simple set up...I have tried everything..There is no w8 drivers for the numark io...any ideas?

Why would you use the Mono Separate Sound Setup setting ? Your Numark DJio has 2 stereo channels to plug both speakers and Headphones there.
The Sound Card (in Config), should be in 4.1 and next to that choose the Numark DJio.
Just make sure its set to Quadrophonic mode (4 speakers) from Sound Settings (Control Panel)
