Sujet: Coming back to this side but need some help?

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

So I bought an NS6 when it came out and started using itch with It. But since they are stop making any itch upgrades and Serato wants us to use Serato DJ which their release is in the spring time sometime and I don't know if we have to buy the software so I'm going to
Switch back to VDJ is their any extra settings that I need to download for this unit to work properly. . Especially for scratching settings.

Any advice will be appreciated. So I can be back on my way.

I haven't seen any post that its gonna be a free upgrade yet? If you have any info please share.

just get the registry tool and change the "default scratch latency" to around "1020" lower is less latency but more cpu intensive.

Serato DJ ain't free unless you buy the DDJ-SX...

It's free for all Itch controllers but Yeah change your settings like Synth said and your good to go.

Oh i'll be on a 2011 Mac Book Pro i7 core 4gig ram is that enough specs and Thanks guys for the information on the registry tool. And long time no talk beat breaker... Hope you and your fam have a merry Xmas.

I'd go to 8 gigs, it is a cheap and easy upgrade.

What he's saying, is that more is better, if you have an option. However, 4g is enough.

just google 'your laptop model max RAM'

replace your laptop model with... well your laptop model LOL! sorry i'm pretty drunk. none the less google is your friend and I'd upgrade to the highest RAM your computer can handle.

Also note that RAM runs at different clock speeds.. 1300mhz or something like that was the standard about 2 years ago, now 1600mhz is the standard, but RAM goes to around 2300mhz... Your laptop will have a limit of speed it will accept. Respect it or you may fry your motherboard.

PS there is DDR2 and DDR3 RAM available. It is related to the amount of connections the motherboard has to connect RAM. Generally cheaper PC's and the last generation MAC's "cough" use DDR2. DDR3 is where it's at in terms of technology. You may see GDDR5 thrown around, but that is for Video cards only

Thx AMAHM... I have a total of 2 pros both 2012 and 2 Mac books 2011. And I think theirs a lot of dj's running more stuff on their mac's with the specs that I mention above. I'm only been djing for 2 1/2 yrs now and I don't use a lot of extra devices yet, still just mixing music but even if I start to mix videos I'm sure I don't really have to change out the ram. Their pretty solid computers yes everyone has their own opinions. But the two pros are dedicated for djing only nothing else goes on it. And I use 1 Mac book for personal use as far as surfing web And my word doc's ect... And the other is for my photo/video editing with photoshop. Not to mention the 2 iPads to that I can also use If I need to so I think I should be safe. But I'm always open for any criticism or advice.

Practice and enjoy, and thanks for the advice guys I appreciate it. Gotta love my vdj even tho I do use the ns6 on itch more than i do on vdj but the RMX is all day every day on vdj... I just wish I could to find the balls to run the ns6 on vdj I just don't feel confident to do so yet!!!
