Hi everyone I am wandering what laws there are for a 16 year old to start a mobile DJ business. Any information will be much appreciated ;)

There is no "DJ license".

In most cases it's the venue (one that's open to the public) that will be licensed for public performance of music, so if you play there then the venue license covers you. Private functions (not open to the public) don't require that license.

The nearest thing to a license for DJs in the UK is the ProDub license, which covers you if you rip music from CD to MP3. If you download everything (legally!) and play it from the same computer then you don't need that either.

It would be a good idea though to get yourself some PLI (public liability insurance) so that if anyone claims against you for any reason, you're covered. For example someone bangs their head on your light, or trips over a tripod leg, or you cause damage to property (or person) with any of your gear.
