That's not a DJ, it's an idiot who's scratching platters and twiddling knobs to a backing track.

No worries there!

Keith

C'mon tho a light blub must go off there somewhere.. At least make it look real..

Bad bad bad pr manager

Ter

Now thats the way to impress the ladies..just act like a DJ!! lol

Wish I had his cabling setup - behind my desk looks like a birds nest!

Where can I get those invisible cables??!!!!

He's a prop!

those cables rock

No DJ moves at all and no syncing with the music at the platters, No wires or wireless connections at all can be seen, this would be good Hit at a Big Bird Party for sure...

and people thought guetta was bad.

Use Google - search for WLAN CABLE - think they already sell invisible Audio cables, too.

Greets, Heiko

Excellent cable management! Haha

don't judge the DJ he might be plenty good but the TV program prob just set it up for them to come in and sing.
DJ - shows up hey no cables ?
TV guy - No do you need cables it only going to be playback anyhow.
DJ - Come on guys at leaset make it look real.
TV guy - Sorry but no calbles are in the studio.

I've seen lotst of bands playing tv shows with out anything connected.
Best one ever was Iron Maiden where they wanted to show everyone it was fake

Personally I can understand the "lost/invisible" cables.
But c'mmon, the guy didn't even try to make it look like "real"
Scratching the platter when there's no scratching sound on the song ? Pitching the deck when you don't mix ? e.t.c.

Yes he should "act" like a dj in a club, but it could be done WAAAAAAYYYYY much better if he put the tiniest effort.
Even in the Iron Maiden Clip you posted the guys try to make it look "real" while they make fool of it! I can only imagine the noise the guitarist made when he really banged those drums... LOL :)

PS: What I don't get is why a DJ/Producer shows up with cdj decks in shows like this. If he wants to show up and act like doing something then bring a sampler or a synth and act like you're adding drops, playing the basic tune, or dropping effects. Having 2 cds and acting like you're playing/composing/producing the song "live" will always be wrong in my eyes!

If he was really a DJ then he should have had his own spare cables!

If you watch Flaunt or Clubland TV in the UK, loads of dance music videos have someone in the background pretending to DJ to the music.

It's just the in thing just now

Keith

Yea thats grand to say its for "music video purposes only. But i bet there is no profession in the world that does things for show! Bar the goverment.
And any right minded "dj" would care how it looks, its clear he is an actor. But is this how the public see us!! Button pressing monkeys?

You and me both!!!!!

I speak the language and she is talking about a dj in the song who she is liking... guess they needed a "dj" to get the point across.
