FYI, we just updated the playlist with another 25 or so videos

I'm real interested in the Zlx speakers from EV

I'm also interested in the shure mics...

I like the light colums too. Great for my moving heads.

The mackie DML 12's lit my bulb up being so small, light weight and powerful 1000w rms, now what is the price point ?, the EV's for the power & price point looked good too, but the mackie looks to be more feature packed..

The DML's are very interesting.

I heard them at guitar Ctr and they sound....... what's the right word............ good.
Yeah, they sound good. Not very good, not great, not bad, just .... good.

I was not impressed enough to get them. At least not yet. I will demo them again though. Sometimes you have to hear things more than once to really get a feel for them.

How do the Ev's sound to you compared to the Mackie?

I own the EV ELX115p

I really like how they sound. Comparing them to the Mackies, the Mackies sound kind of thin. They do sound good but it's a rather thin sound and they ran out of breath easily. They also peak quicker than the EV's.

In the store, They had them on a pole attached to the Mackie sub. The pole was short and the speaker was as head height pretty much right at ear level. I bent down to have the speaker over my head. That changed the dynamics of the sound. The speakers sounded better OVERhead but still a little thin.

I look forward to hearing them again. To me, the EV's sound better and I REALLY look forward to hearing the ZLX series. As soon as they are available, I will be going to test them out.
I am hoping they are better than the ELX series. They are lighter and have more features but they need to SOUND better as well.

I don't see EV making their new speaker sound any less than their previous ELX series.

Okay, thanks for the input, will have to see who has both to compare properly...
