I live about 4 hours from Atlantic city. Isit worth the trip to go to the DJ Expo.I have never been but after seeing all the posts from last year's EXPO I think it might be a nice working vacation. Does anyone attend? Do you go for the exhibits or get the workshops as well. Wife saw the info as well and seems interested. Any help would be appreciated.

Its worth going if you want a hands on first look at all the new brand name gear. On the last day you will find some great deals because nobody wants to carry boxes home.
2011 there was a table selling MC-6000's for $650 on the last day.
I vote to check it out, you wont be disappointed.... especially if your'e in the market for new gear.

It is the biggest DJ expo in the state's, and a lot of info, as well as great deals. Just go.

I went last year for the first time and I will go again this year !
I've use my full pass to go at each party (Kick-Off party, DJ of the Year ...), I really enjoy all seminar I was able to attend. Learn a lot from all other DJ's I meet and came back at home as a better DJ/Entertainer !
Exhibition was great !! Was able to touch at every DJ Console I've seen over internet. I see every light from Chauvet and American DJ. Was able to talk to representant about it and they answer all my question.
Next year, I will be there 1 day before and 1 day after to be able to have some rest and good time at beach and Casino, because even if I didn't sleep a lot, I miss time to see everything !!!

Ive been going since the mid 90's and back then it was awesome. You got some swag in your registration bag and some other cool things. In mid 2k it suuuuucked. The late 2ks 08 09 and even 10 i was like Im done with this the venue was getting smaller and it was all the same shiz...the last two years tho have been good, last year was really good, there was a nice vibe in the room and it was fun just being there.
so yeah..GO!

I attend every year. Its worth going because you can get better deals on equipment and You can also see and feel the equipment rather than just looking at pictures or videos online. The expo is also a good place to network.
