You shouldn't need ASIO4ALL, because the N4 has a class compliant audio interface - meaning it works with the standard windows WDM sound and doesn't require a its own driver.

ASIO4ALL is not an ASIO driver anyway, it's just an emulator that sits on top of the normal Windows WDM driver. Its purpose is to fool "ASIO only" software (which is very rare these days) into working without an ASIO card, and as such is not required, because VDJ works without needing ASIO.

No you don't - as I already explained.

You don't have an ASIO card. Your controller doesn't have an ASIO compatible audio interface. The ASIO4ALL driver is not an ASIO driver.

Uninstall the ASIO4ALL driver and use the advanced config to set up the inputs and outputs.

You'll also need to make sure the N4 is set up correctly (switches in the right place etc.).

You can not setup Timecodes without using WDM Drivers for a soundcard.

Assuming you've worded that wrongly, if it's not possible with WDM then why does advanced config give me the option of using my primary sound card as a timecode input?

ASIO4ALL is required. http://www.numark.com/product/n4

The website actually says that it's optional - and so does the Numark employee in the thread you linked to.

Ventura, you need to give us more detail of exactly what settings you're using, and so on. If you've followed the Numark instructions it should work.

@cstoll did the update but still not working. @groovin I tried In advance config still dosnt work. The problem is that in asio mode i can only use my laptop soundcard and not my n4, i need to use my n4 soundcard to play my timeccode

so no one can help me with this issue?

As the N4 is a Numark product, have you tried looking/asking on the Numark support site?

@groovindj i have and i still havnt got a response.

can any teamer help me with this issue please? Thanx

@pochitodj thanx but thats the problem. If i check the n4 soundcard it wont let me play my n4

Now delete asio4all drivers, clean the registry keys.
And download and installed asio4all to www.asio4all.com
On your operating sistem. Controlling the compatibility with your sistem
Sorry for my English.
