Sujet: Change Beat grid display transparency

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

Hi All

Is there a way to change the transparency of the beatgrid display at the top of the VDJ skin ( dunno if it is the right wording for it ). It is sometimes difficult to see the underlying beat(s) phrases when you have two tracks sync'ed and overlapping each other, especially when you need to see when the other track is about to drop off or when a new beat is about to start. It would be nice if you could change the transparency of the track being cued to see the underlying track more clearly.

I know there is already some transparency, but it would be nice to customize this ...

Hope that makes sense.

Thanks

It's the colors you'd have to change and to do that you'd need to look in the skins XML. I'm doing this from my phone so I won't get into serious detail. It should be something in the "Rythumzone".
Id say get this moved to the skin forum and someone should be able to help you more then i can right now.

What skin are you using?

Thanks for the response.

I can only find the XML file in a zip file under the skins folder ? Is it saved elsewhere ?

In there i can see the rythmzone section. Do I change the "mask" element to affect the greyscale (transparency ) ?

Thanks

Surely if you can't see the layer underneath, you know its spot on..?

What skin are you using and I'll have a look when I get home tonight. It's probably best not to go poking around if your unsure, lol!!

Using the default skin @ 1600x900

I know when they are overlaying each other it is sync'ed perfectly, but sometimes the underlying track has a breakdown of sorts and I want to kill the bass on the overlaying track when it gets to the breakdown, but then it is difficult to see that breakdown underneath. It would just be nice to make the top (active) deck's beat grid a little more transparent so you can see what's going on underneath at a glance.

Hope that makes some sense.

Thanks
