I have tons of music videos, but I never had "fill videos" for things like Birthdays, My own personal Video logo, and Club gogo dancer videos (for when I play audio only). I knew Clip Bank existed and tried it, but just went crazy searching for things after I bought EM trying to use it for all of it's capabilities. You have a pretty good product there. I have yet to look into Flash, but have the capability now of making my own and intend to do so shortly.
Buying EM and stepping up my video game all started when I got a bigger crowd display. That drove me to meet my goal of 100% video all night. Lofty goal and does not have to be official music videos, but I have 2700 music videos, so I feel it was time to step up the game on the other things I have ignored this far.
Before Esential Media, I only looked at Official Music videos. Now I have Clips from all kinds of different things to fill "Video holes" (audio only spots) or Theme my set out a bit for a particular event. I found a few searches that help me find what I want as Stock Video footage is pricy for how short the clips are. Might as well be stills if I only get 15 second clips for $30+ each. Starting to develop a rhythm now of what to look for and where, but still have not found a "gold mine" of clips that I can use. Most of the stuff is good enough or close enough. This comming from a guy with a very specific vision and I am very demaning on Quality and Content.
What I look for in EM clips? Dancing, Silouette dancers, Concert footage, Light shows, Extreme sports, No singing or recogniseable artists, etc. Animated clips without any talking is ok too. Things that look like Sonique, but not. I have found that if you search for many EDM videos, you will find you meet most of those requirements, so that is the best option I have found so far (use those videos in Clip Bank). Also some remix artists have made videos for songs that never had a video. So those are good too because nobody is Mouthing words to a different song, other than the Audio that is curently playing anyway.
So I just didn't have a need for "non official" music videos, until buying EM. I want to get the most out everything I buy, so I searched my but off, Google, etc. The plugin is great, but useless without source material. There are so few video DJs in my area that somebody has to start somewhwere. I have even started to make my own clips with Adobe After Effects (from Pond5 blank AE templates) and tried to see what others do to meet a party theme or fill audio only spots.
So this whole cruseade starts with a need. Needs drive searches, searches drive knowledge, etc. This is what I meant, although off topic.. We may need a new thread if you want to get more indepth.
That and the next big thing in video that nobody else has mastered or brought to my home state of CT. I don't like being 2nd or second best! Cutting edge and top notch Quality and Content is what my company is all about. Bold statement, but for the most part I spare no expense and often make my own way when one does not exist. Because of that, I get shows all over New England that are several hours away!

Yup same here, content! Thats a major downfall for me as well and high quality to boot is hard to find or when you do find it be prepared to pay.......

We have a resource for video clips but I will need to check on what our distribution rights permit us to do. But most likely I can help you find some clips at a lower cost.
EM 2.5 can do many types of images as well including bmp, png, jpeg, jps, iff, tif, targa, wmf, emf, gif, animated gif, animated png and more, so broaden the search :) EM 2.5 will be available soon.

Here's a 6 foot by 5 foot structure I put up in my basement. 8 boxes with only 3 sources. It might be hard to see in the picture but the middle set of boxes has the video stretched across both. Bending light, lol!
Hopefully I get this 3rd projector this week then I can have 2 of these sitting on either side of the main screen.

Well I had my first night out with the projectors, VDJ and Resolume! Only thing that I had a problem with was I couldn\'t really use VDJ\'s video effects
because of the way the Syphon plugin is implemented in VDJ. Oh well I just used Resolume\'s effect.
Yeah picture is crappy, lol! It was a stack of 6 boxes all turned at a 45 giving me 12 surfaces to map out. My groups set was only an hour long so I just ran visuals most of the night but everyone there was impressed!
