Sujet: Change the track status Icons

Hi I am totally new to this forum and virtual dj.

I have great trouble seeing the track status icons on my laptop. Its only a 11.6 inch screen and I cannot see the colour in the icons. Even on my desktop they are not clear to me and I would like to make them a definite colour for each different category that I use ie played, karaoke,etc.

Now I know this might be painfully obvious to most on here but I have totally no idea of how to modify a skin.

? can anyone help in very simple language, for an old timer, or direct me to an article or post that would lead me through this?

You can use some icons from another skin. Some skins offer icons that are more easy to identify a file type.

You have an 11.6 inch screen, and find it hard to see? You are kidding, right? No? Ok, follow instruction in the above post and if that does not work, get a pair of glasses, and a 23 inch monitor. That worked for me. There are some skins that enable you to change the font size.
 
I have requested that VDJ make the karaoke and video icons in the default skin a completely different color as even with a 23 inch screen it's hard to see. And yes I have glasses, whether they are on or off the icons are way too close in color. I have to look twice when I'm in a rush to find a song. Especially when I'm going through the history to find a song name. Otherwise I set up a filter for music, video and karaoke that way i don't make a mistake.
 
I too would like to have my Video and Karaoke Icons colored a little less similarly.

11.6 inches is tiny, so ya, I'd say the average person would find it hard to see the icons. I have a 13 inch screen and that is barely passable. Don't be a douche.
 
what skin do you use?
