Sujet: shopping for a new controller

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

OK I will be at DJ expo in Atlantic City and definitely be shopping for a new controller .... I current run with an MTP but am down to the pioneer ddj sx or the denon mc 6000. Will be able to get my hands on them both at expo. I am look for feedback on these units by people that have them or have had a opportunity to use them. I do some mobiles karaoke and a gentlemans club residency .....

So post away

You may find a few booths with great deals on controllers especially last day. I would expect to see the MC-6000 and NS6 cheap, the NS6 is down to $599 retail now.
I guess overall turnout and over stock would determine your chances of getting a steal at the Expo. I'd look for a deal on a Odyssey case as long as your there.
And a Crane stand! See, thats why I cant go, I'm like a kid in Toys R Us.

LOL! I hear that!

I love my mc6000, but it has been out for awhile. Whatever you decide on, see me before you buy, I may be able to get a better deal on a controller and a case.

will do AMaHM

I had the MC6000 when it was first released and sold it about 6-8mos ago and currently own the DDJ-SX.

MC6000
Very nice to have 1/4 booth out and XLR Main
Good sound
Controls optimized for VDJ
Very compact, it fit in my large backpack
I did not like the jog wheels way too small for my taste
I did not like the cramped controls

DDJ-SX
Very nice to have 1/4 booth out and XLR Main
Love the size and layout
Good sound
Only bad thing about it is, they set the pitch fader so close to the jog wheel that I sometime nudge it when I am using the jog wheel to pitch bend.

I much prefer the DDJ-SX

I'm totally in love with the DDJ-SX, for whatever tests worth.

Had a NS-6 before that. Great controller too, but the SX is just a triumph (for my personal tastes).

OH BTW, another controller you might consider is the new Pioneer XDJ R1. Nice piece of get there.

hmmm never thought about that on x gonna research it now .....
