Just wondering if anyone has any videos from BPM showing VDJ 8 in use. Not seen anything on youtube and was wondering what was the opiniion of it from people at the show who had a hands on demo with it. Thanks a million.

What! no one took any photos at all, or were cameras completely banned with the threat of violence if anyone one dared point a lens at a laptop. lol.
Show your images here guys, I promise not to tell anyone else, it will be our little secret... honest.

Hi Grooving, saw the ones on facebook but they don't really show a lot to be honest. Aww well maybe a vid might show up on youtube , was really keen to see what the people thought of VDJ8 if they got a chance to play with it. Best regards all.

I spent all three days at the show, and asked for a look at VDJ 8 first thing on day one.
By the end of day three I still hadn't seen it!

Why?
I thought the purpose of the show was for the public to play with VDJ8.

I wasn't "the public" - I was working on the stand next to VDJ.
I know Scott and the guys from previous BPM shows too, and was introduced to dj-in-norway this year....but still didn't see VDJ 8.
Hopefully by next years BPM show, we'll all have our own copies!
Playing on the stand.....well I would have gladly stepped in if they'd needed me to fill a slot or something (I had my laptop with me), but I'm not really that bothered about promoting myself or showing my skills. I didn't even play properly on our stand, just made sure some music was on (from the same two CDs the whole show!).

I can tell you exactly from first hand experience, that it works, but there is much more to do.
GUI is a lot smoother and resizing is smooth and trouble free (well almost - it depends on the skin)
Sound was pretty damn good. Through the FBT system is sounded crystal clear.
It's still flakey. Didn't see the sampler and the browser doesn't appear to be finished.
POI's are cool and give you a lot of options. I'm hoping there will be a way to turn Action POI's on and off globally just in case you don't want to use them...
Managed to crash the software and the DDJ-SX while performing my set, but the fact they were willing to let us use it to play live shows an element of confidence.
Cheers,
Roy

It was a combi stand. LiteConsole were sharing with DJ Tutor and V-Moda headphones.
