Hello!
Here is what I have:
*Hercules RMX 2
*Two (2) AT-LP 120 Turntables
*Microphone with both XLR and USB connections
*Macbook with latest version of OSX
Here is what I want to do:
I broadcast a regular radio show using a shoutcast server. I'd like to be able to run both turntables into the RMX 2 via the Line in 1 and Line in 2 and use the RMX2 to mix the turntables. On top of that, I'd like to be able to use my microphone to talk over tracks. It will function as both a USB mic or XLR mic. I'd like to be able to mix mp3s and switch back and forth to the turntables.
Up to now, I haven't used the turntables - just the RMX 2 controller and a USB microphone. This is barely acceptable. The mic essentially becomes active on line 1. I would prefer a true "talkover" mic.
I'd love to get this going without having to upgrade. If an upgrade is necessary to be able to do this, I guess I'd consider it...I just want to be able to talkover the mic, and be able to switch between playing MP3s and records. Can't believe more people don't want to do this...help!
