How can I make a scratch effect on th crossfader while am using virtual Dj pro soft ware and an external mixer only

I know what a scratch is but what is a scratch effect???
Maybe the best scratch effect is to... Oh, I don't know.... Scratch maybe? Move the platter back and forth with the fader open?

If you want to make the wiggity wiggity sound squeeze the cat.
