I am having issues with music videos, I'm really not a fan of videos playing at wrong aspect ratios and much prefer letterboxing and windowboxing of videos into the 16:9 frame. However, a lot of the videos used are anamorphic and encoded at say 720x480 with flags in the container to display at 864x480. Virtual DJ does not read these flags whatsoever so videos that should be widescreen are displaying on screen windowboxed and squashed.
Is there any way to change the codec which Virtual DJ uses other than just "video decoder", I installed new codecs onto the computer (Haali media splitter etc) thinking they would show up in the codec list within the settings, but no.
Setting virtual DJ to show all videos fill or to crop is not an option as it messes up more videos than it helps.
Thanks in advance for any input anyone has on this issue.
