Sujet: Virtial DJ and VMS4.1 and SAMPLES

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

I have a question that I hoping that someone could answer.

I am running virtual DJ 7.4 and VMS4.1 midi console.

Here is my set up... song on deck 1 playing, song on deck 2 being used to sample.

Once I sample my parts on deck 2, I hear that part being played on deck1. I cannot mute it from deck 1...

I'd like to be able to use my crossfader to bring my samples from deck 2 into the mix... but as it stands, I cannot not.

How can I tell the system to not automatically play samples from deck 2 into the deck 1 mix?

Does that make sense?? Am I explaining myself correctly?

Ok, so I'm playing around with things, and my VDJ crashed... after it did, I rebooted my system and it looks like things are working... or maybe I'm just doing things differently this time.

So, if I use the SAMPLE volume control, it seems I can use that to help make my samples fall out of the mix...and then use a combination of the deck 2 volume (all the way up) and the crossfadrer to work my samples into the mix. Not the best solution but I can make it work. it's not that I'm sampling that much and because of that, all the little steps to get where I want will probably be forgotten... I need simple, intuitive steps...
