Sujet: Broadcaster NO headphones

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

Is it really a scam? Is ther ANY way to set up virtualdj broadcaster to use headphones as it is is promised and listed in the comparison table? I've tried everything, one and two soundcards, set them up in ALL ways possible.

Should I just download the pro version piracy way???

very dissapointed.....

Don't download anything you shouldn't.

You have a legit broadcaster license and you should be able to use headphone. Chances are you have the sound setup incorrect.

What settings are you currently trying to use.

VirtualDJ Broadcaster is a limited version of the software that only costs $49. It's the same as Home FREE but with the added ability to broadcast and also download and use custom skins and effects. Please see comparison.

VirtualDJ Broadcaster supports basic sound configurations only - For details, please see the following FAQ page: http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/Pre-listen%20using%20headphones%20in%20VirtualDJ%20Home%20FREE%20or%20Broadcaster.html

For more flexible sound configuration options, you would need to upgrade to either VirtualDJ Basic or the full VirtualDJ Professional.

DO NOT download and/or use illegal versions of the software. If you like VirtualDJ and wish to use features of VirtualDJ Basic or the full Professional, then please support the software and its future development by purchasing it legitimately. Both you and your venue could face prosecution if you are caught using illegal software and/or music.

Yes I have tried the rear to headphones, set up my soundcard to 4-speakers. But still no sound in the headphones.

I have a Aureon 7.1 USB external soundcard

Ok, sorry I have misunderstood, that there were more support for headphones on broadcaster version than the free version, I bought it to get effect support.

Tried one more time with the internal Realtek-card, seems it worked now. But my Aureon card is 100% ok, but does not work with virtualDj (4channel headphone mode)

This is just a messy setup...

I think I will give it one more try... how do I upgrade to Pro Basic version without paying full price?

And I really like your software, it's a dream to use so I don't want to use a piracy version, that's the reason I get a little upset when I used money on software and I don't get it to work like I want. so sorry to sound harsh...

Edit: sorry, please delete this thread... it's probably my neck/back pain and headache that is making me a little angry.

Don't think they will delete it but can probably lock it. However if you don't have a controller then I suggest investing in one with a sound card. Using a controller is a lot of fun and there are some great options out there for not a lot of money.

Ok thanks for answer, can you recommend me an example of a cheap controller? Yeah, it's just a hobby so I don't want to use a lot of money on this. I like using mouse/keyboard to mix but have thought about controller but have no idea where to start looking.

(and my cat just chewed up my headphone-cable :p )

Numark. I have a numark Mixdeck but that was retailed at $600 here in Canada. Look at the mixtrack pro 2 i think has a sound card. If you go to Digital DJ tips they have a list of a lot of contollers and tell you what the options are on them. Numark makes some quality controllers and if you watch Ellaskins on Youtube he beats the heck out of a mixtrack and it still works.

Mmmm, thanks, yes that was ok price ($200 in norway), will save a bit and probably get me one in a while. Then I need the pro version of virtualDj, right?

Yes it will help for sure. You will have to take a look to see if your broadcasting vertion will take a controller but from what I am reading it is just like home edition and you can't use a controller with it. Sometimes the controllers come with VDJ LE but I am not sure if you can broadcast with that or not. If you pay for Pro you will get the use of everything and when VDJ 8 comes out (after the beta testing) you will have a complete upgrade for free.

I don't have gigs but I record mixes and even I have Pro. I think I have had it for almost 2 years or so. There is so much you can do with it including samples, custom skins, plug ins, PLAYLISTS. I had VDJ LE because that's what came with my Mixdeck, and sure I could use my iTunes playlists but I had such a mix of songs on them that it would be pointless to make new ones when I can do that in VDJ. I also liked the idea that I could broadcast and I'm not so keen on having restrictions, so going pro was the way to go for me.

If you can get to a shop that sells controllers go try them out and try to find one that works for you. Do your reasearch because you want something that you like and that will last. With a controller you can also go out to house parties with your buddies and play a set. Happy hunting.

Thanks a lot for your answer, definetily, yes I just have to save some money and go pro. ah, v8.0, that's sounds nice. What I have mixed till now is on youtube on the same channel name as my username, if you or someone wants to check it out. All done without headset, but planned playlists. A couple of them made live also. Can't wait to see what I can manage to compile with a controller and pro virtual dj :D

You should be able to upgrade from Broadcaster to full Pro (not Pro basic) at a discount by entering your Broadcaster serial number in the upgrade box.

ok, thanks.
