Sujet: Post Fader FX with VDJ (HOW TO..........KINDA)

I do this with SDJ so I decided to try it with VDJ and it worked, watch........



Now all I need is better sounding effects and Id be happy. Or if anyone can think of a better way just post it here.............

I'm just trying to figure out exactly how you've routed things...

So you have your main VDJ decks outputting to separate input channels of the NUO, then you're using the send of the NUO to input the dry signal to deck 3 of VDJ (which has the effect on). The effected output of deck 3 then routes into the return of the NUO.

Is that it?
 
Yes sir.

Don't know why I didn't ever try this along time ago, lol! Hopefully in 8 we'll have some better sounding effects. I know if I was using a pc I could get that tail to drag waaaaaaaaay out which That's what I want sometimes.
 
OK so anyone wanting to try this would need at least two outputs from their audio interface - one for master out (or two for individual decks out) then another output for deck 3 (the effect deck) to feed into the mixer return, or a spare input channel.

Then an input to route the mixers send signal to the input of the effect on deck 3.

Therefore: audio interface = two outputs minimum + one input minimum.
 
Well more then half well more like 98% of the effects I tried won't work. I'm thinking its because of the live input. Maybe someone can confirm this for me??
