Does anybody know if the PRO owners will get an email prior to the release of VDJ8 (like 24 hours)? It would be nice to have the current VDJ pro users getting advance notice and download options before the general public.

Normally your download centre tab will change colour.

No email usually. In my experience.

Hey Tayla...Is there any firetext options for mobile djs who want to offer a 'Cell phone based' music request system? I was with Request Now but they have since shut down.

Usually it shows up in your download center at the same time as everyone else. You can download it whenever you're ready to. If your concern is not being able to download it due to server overload...well I have NEVER experienced that here so that should be the least of your worries...if you just want to have it before everyone else...well don't be greedy you're getting the upgrade for free (unless something changes but updates in the past have been free for PRO users).

I rather hope the option to download the old version V7 (have an option in case of a problem to go back)
sorry for the English.

You can get the old version from support.

It's a good idea to keep your downloaded installation files in case you need to reinstall or go back to an old version.

But it is not. The new version replaces the old , if you do not have saved the old version on the computer.

If you create a support ticket, they will add it to your download centre and will appear as an additional download.

I would assume the reason they don't make older versions all the time. Is so that issues with the current version get reported to support so they can be addressed.
But as many have said, support will make the last working version available to you if requested.

So sure, but now we say that 7.4.1 is the most stable version. The new version has a new VDJ8 code ... for us pro users would be good to quickly resolve the problem to be able to go back.
Best would be having to start the two systems have installed 7.4.1 and 8.0
I assume that over time everyone will be the same on version 8
again sorry for my English

I would think like in previous major releases the older version will stay in your download centre for a period of time so you can download both.
It's always best to stress test the new version as a separate user or on a different machine first anyway.

As others have stated...just save the current installation file to a separate folder on your computer so you will have it even if it is not available in your download center on this site. I have install files going back to version 4.3!

Damn, you beat me. I've only got 29 files - back to version 5.
:-)

Yeah, I got rid of all but the last two. As stated, you should always save your install files.

@ Tantrix .....i no longer recommend FT .... and Tayla isn't the issue , he has always been very helpful .....
on my old dumb phone i had an unresolved issue and the support was so poor i actually gave up and stopped using FireText
i recently got a smartphone and the support is non existent .... i am very disappointed since this plug in actually costs more
than it's host .....
how have i tried to get help ....email , skype , phone call ......multiple instances of each
