Hi there,
i'm want to customize my VDJ layout for my workflow.
Now i've been waiting a long time especially for VDJ8 to do this work only once.
I have a basic knowledge in coding and graphical design, so it's not a problem to do a skin for the old VDJ7 - especially with the Skin Creator Tool.
But many Things have changed in VDJ8 wich i'm glad for.
Now my question is: how do i get the basic VDJ Template out of the Software? I didn't found it in the VDJ Folder in Windows "My Documents".
And how do i get the list of all the XML elements -> and further question are they still in XML or has it changed in VDJ8?
Because there are many new moveable and folding elements like Smapler, Looper, FX Section or even the Browser.
Will be a custom skin also resizeable?
It would be glad to hear from you.
Greetings from Germany.
Edit: can someone of the admins pelase correct my spelling mistake in the thread title?

Topic Title Fixed.
Yes, V8 skins are still using XML and .BMP or better yet .PNG files
The default skin should be installed on your VirtualDj\Skins folder
You should study the default skin to get started. New skin engine is very powerfull. However you may need some time to adapt it.
PS: More info about skinning will become available after public release
