Hi guys I wonder if anyone could point me in the right direction for an answer to a few issues I am having with my new DDJ- SX.
The controller works perfectly with Serato so I know its not a hardware issue (I.e. the units not faulty) I much prefer VDJ as that's what I'm used to and actually think is better (Jury is still out on V8 at the moment!)
My problem is I have the controller loaded up to my PC (Win 7) and I am using VDJ Pro (V7) The controller works fine and all the buttons & pads do what they are supposed to ! The main issues I am having is I have a 2 deck setup on VDJ and when playing out of 'deck 1' both CH faders for channels 1 & 3 work with the LED levels showing sound on both channels and the same for 'deck 2' both CH faders on channels 2 & 4 work with the LED levels showing sound on both these channels.
At the moment the input select switch is set to PC on all channels 1 - 4 but if I change it on channel 3 to CD for example the LEDS on both channels 3 & 1 stop working although I'm still getting sound out of my speakers.
The config settings I have are
Input - None
Outputs - Master: Chan 1&2 / Headphones: Channel 3&4
Soundcard - Pionerr DDJ_SX ASIO
Basically what I'm after is for the sound on Deck 1 to come out of channel 1 and the sound on Deck 2 to come out of channel 2 thus leaving channels 3 & 4 for other things (Mic CDJ's ect)
I am sure I am missing something simple here but for the life of me can't work out what I'm doing wrong and I hope my explanation makes sense ! So any advice will be gratefully received !
Many thanks, Paul

Do you have "dual deck" on?

after you change input at front of the SX, try go back to sound settings, and press apply again...
I didnt try with your exact channels yet (will try later), but i do same as you for channel 2 and 3 on SX (to deck 1 & deck 2 in vdj), leaving channel 1 and channel 4 on the SX "off" or alternatively cd inputs. Works on my end ...
and yes, turn off dual deck just in case

hi guys thanks for the replies - to confirm Dual Deck is OFF
I will try changing the input select again and pressing apply but I'm pretty sure I tried this already (I tried a lot of things trying to get it to work lol!)
What is 'odd' is, if for example I'm playing out of Deck one on VDJ the LED level indicators on both Chan 1 & 3 are lighting up and both channel faders work (volume wise) if I then change the input Selector on Channel 3 to say CD the LED's on Channel 3 go off but the LED's on Channel 1 stay on all the time 2 'bars' up (the same applies to channels 2 & 4)
So the sound seems to be coming out of two channels at once e.g. Deck 1 sound comes out of both 1 & 3 and Deck 2 sound comes out of both 2 & 4.

Just a quick update after searching through some more posts on here. I tried changing the skin to 4 decks and channel 1 & 3 work both faders and LED's BUT channels 1 & 4 don't work neither faders or LEDs but I still get sound coming through - it just gets stranger !!
