I'm sorry if this is in the wrong place but I really didn't know where to put this.
Maybe I just needed to reboot my phone but when I was at home and bought the iRemote it was working great. When I was at my gig on Saturday I pulled up iRemote and after a little issue of getting it connected it finally found VDJ. That's fine I can deal with that as I am pulling it up early. The scenario here is that I was at the University of Alberta (U of A) Faculty Club in one area with the dance floor and dinner was in another room (Essentially there were the same room but separated by a little bit of a wall). The dinner area had a house PA system that they used for speeches but it wasn't a wireless mic, it was a podium. For the entrance the wedding party had to walk up the stairs to where I was then walk into the dining area. My plan was to use iRemote to press play on their entrance song as I introduced the whole party. I didn't know who to ask to see if I could get a password for the campus wifi so I just set up a hot spot. Well when iRemote came up I couldn't change screens, press play, stop, or anything. I had auto mix on with dinner music and it showed the plater moving on deck 1 and the titles but that's it. I shut it down and tried it again but same thing I couldn't get deck 2 to show or the mixer or anything other then deck one that it opened up on. I didn't want to turn my phone off because the groom was texting me letting me know where they were and when they would be walking up the stairs.
Has anyone else with iRemote had a problem when your running a hot spot?
